LA-based folk singer Jonathan Wilson has confirmed details of a live date at London’s Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen on 9th November, with a full tour expected to be announced soon. The new date follows the release of Wilson’s new album ‘Gentle Spirit’, which received a number of favourable reviews upon its release last month. See below for tickets for the November date.
Wilson’s new album ‘Gentle Spirit’ features guest appearances from a number of other artists including Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes, Vetiver’s Andy Cabic and Gary Louris of The Jayhawks. The video to the album track ‘Natural Rhapsody’ can be viewed below.
Jonathan Wilson was previously a member of the band Muscadine, who released their debut album ‘The Ballad of Hope Nichols’ in 1998. He went on to record his first solo album ‘Frankie Ray’ in 2007, although it was never officially released. In addition to his solo work, Wilson has frequently recorded and performed with a number of other artists including Elvis Costello, Erykah Badu and Bonnie “Prince” Billy. He has recently been performing alongside Robbie Robertson, a former member of The Band, in support of Robertson’s new solo album ‘How to Become Clairvoyant’, which features contributions from Eric Clapton, Trent Reznor and Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello.
