When The Stone Roses announced their reformation last week, fans went absolutely wild at the idea of being able to see their favourites back on stage together once again. When tickets went on sale at 9:30am last Friday, they sold-out within a matter of minutes.
As demand sky-rocketed, tickets were placed on eBay for ridiculous amounts of money – and at the moment, search for a Stone Roses on the auction site and you’ll quite easily find sellers listing tickets at £5,000 a pop. But no-one would have expected (least not the seller!) to see a bid of over £1,000,000 for the chance to see the alternative rockers live this June and July.
The bid for the ticket, which would grant just one person entry to the June 30th gig at Heaton Park, may have been a prank or fake bid, but still outlines the insane demand for access to the Stone Roses three reunion gigs on the June 29th, June 30th and July 1st. You can see a screenshot of the bid on the above right.
All three of The Stone Roses concerts at Manchester's Heaton Park have now sold out; however, if you're still looking for tickets, you should compare prices at Stereoboard.com.
