Multi-award winning Lady Gaga has confirmed she and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, are to launch the Born This Way Foundation (BTWF) on 29th February 2012, with an event at Harvard University. Of course, the big question on many a fans' lips is, will the singer use the event to reveal her long-awaited Born This Way world tour dates?
The new charity has been set-up to encourage empowerment, stop bullying and improve the lives of young people across the world. Lady Gaga, who recently received a Hero Award by the Trevor Project, a non-profit organization which aims to prevent suicides, has always been a major supporter or anti-bullying and in December last year the star met with US President Obama to talk about her ideas for the foundation. She also dedicated a rendition of 'Hair' at a Las Vegas festival to a fan who took their own life after suffering harassment over her sexuality.
Lady Gaga recently confirmed that she will release a new studio album sometime in 2012. The latest Twitter rumours are also circulating news that the singer will release her Born This Way World Tour Dates around February 17th.
Check back to Stereoboard for details on Lady Gaga's new tour as soon as it is officially confirmed.
