Beatles legend Paul McCartney has revealed that he’s given up smoking weed – because of his daughter Beatrice.
Macca, being a 60’s rocker, is known for his love of the plant, which once got him arrested and deported from Japan in the 1980s. But now, even though he’s had four children before Beatrice, he’s decided that he’s smoked his final spliff – and that he’s giving up the green stuff for good.
“I smoked my share,” he told the Rolling Stone. “When you're bringing up a youngster, your sense of responsibility does kick in, if you're lucky, at some point. Enough's enough – you just don't seem to think it's necessary.”
McCartney released ‘Kisses on the Bottom’ earlier this month. The album is a collection of standards Paul grew up listening to in his childhood, and also contains two new McCartney compositions - ‘My Valentine’ and ‘Only Our Hearts’. You can check one of the tracks out below.
In other marijuana-related news, Tommy Chong – one half of stoner comedy duo Cheech and Chong – recently claimed that late singer Whitney Houston would still be alive had she ’stuck to pot’.
