English rockers Elbow and the original Modfather Paul Weller have both been confirmed to headline Live at Jodrell Bank, a two day musical event at the Jodrell Bank Observatory and Astronomy Laboratory.
The mini-festival, which takes place from June 23rd-24th, will also entertain guests and fans with live scientific experiments, lectures from their extremely knowledgeable team and science workshops throughout the event. A number of other guests and support acts will join Weller and Elbow, though they have yet to be announced.
Elbow frontman Guy Garvey has spoken about their decision to join the two-dayer – admitting he’s a big fan of space. “I am a space nut. My cat is even named after the woman who discovered pulsars. So as you would imagine, playing alongside the local icon of space exploration fills me with cosmic glee.”
If you’re a fan of Elbow, Paul Weller, music or just space in general, make sure you get down to event, which is held at Jodrell Bank in Cheshire. Tickets start at just £35 + fees and are onsale Thursday (March 1st) at 9am.
