American singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson is set to release his 2011 album 'Modern Love' over here in the UK at the end of the month – and will be touring the country to coincide with it.
The star is ready to bring his folk-rock style across the pond for a run of shows over here, and will see how 'Modern Love', his seventh studio album to date, fares too. His unique style has already earned him decent chart success in his native US – and even managed to get one of his singles to Platinum status.
'Modern Love' comes on the heels of Nathanson's 2007 break-out success ‘Some Mad Hope’, which catapulted the San Francisco-based Nathanson to the status of bonafide hit maker. The album boasted the top 3 US single ‘Come On Get Higher’, which has sold over 2 million copies to date.
For his latest record, Matt has been drawing on influences such as Depeche Mode, ACDC and Talking Heads and has produced a record that may be the closest a pop album comes to perfection. Now, he'll be taking that record on the road as he supports Grammy award-winning Train on their May UK tour.
