Simon Cowell Predicts Boy-Band And Girl-Band Chart Domination

Super rich music mogul Simon Cowell has claimed that boy-bands and girl-groups will take over the charts within the next year, following the worldwide success of his X-Factor stars One Direction.
Speaking in an interview with a US radio station, Cowell suggested that the music charts will be dominated by 'emergence of boy-bands and girl-bands' who will emulate the success of One Direction, who debuted at #1 in the US and #2 in their native UK.
“You're going to suddenly see this year the emergence of boybands and girlbands taking over the charts,” Cowell told the radio host. “We had a group called One Direction who were on X Factor UK a couple of years ago. Their album launched in America and debuted at number one. This band were completely unheard of but very talented.”
He continued: “It would be great to find the next NSync, the next Backstreet Boys, the next Destiny's Child on X Factor - there is a gap in the market right now for a group like that from America. This show has got to feel very very different to last year... more controversial.”
