Elton John is set to appear on the next Queens of the Stone Age record, whilst Dave Grohl has confirmed he will be drumming on the album.
“Recently, Elton and I recorded something together,” Dave explained while interviewing Elton on US chat show Chelsea Lately. “Something that people wouldn’t imagine the two of us doing together,” with Elton adding that it was a new song for the new Queens Of The Stone Age album.
“I was in Vegas and I flew back to LA and Engelbert Humperdinck had written me a very sweet letter and asked me to sing a duet with him,” added Elton (yes, this is getting even weirder). “He is part of my history and I couldn’t say no so I went and recorded a song with him. Then I drove three blocks and went from Engelbert to Queens Of The Stone Age, which was a bit of a mindfuck.”
So that’s Dave Grohl, Trent Reznor and Elton John all making guest appearances on the album. Apparently Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters is too!NOTE FROM THE EDITOR We don't run any advertising!
