2000trees Makes Massive Announcement And Shows Itself Set For Its Best Year Yet

Our friends at 2000trees like to let their amazing line-ups slowly reveal themselves over time... usually, at any rate. Today though they have announced a whopping thirty-six new bands to add to the bill for the 2013 edition of the festival. There’s so much awesomeness on display that it is pretty hard to take it all in but here at Stereoboard we have done our best.

The biggest names joining the line-up at this stage are Oxfordshire folksters Stornoway, Welsh post-hardcore legends Funeral for a Friend, manic post-rockers And So I Watch You from Afar, melodic rockers We are the Ocean, alt-metal survivors InMe, math maniacs Adebisi Shank and art folk band Stealing Sheep. Already these acts suggest that this year’s 2000trees is going to be the most diverse edition of the festival to date. Organiser James Scarlett is confident that “This year could be the best line-up we’ve ever had. It has the usual mix of indie and folk plus every genre of rock you could imagine. Some old favourites who have played previously will return and more importantly there will be lots of fresh new blood – so 2000trees is definitely the place to discover your favourite new band!”

As for the rest of the acts joining the line-up at this stage (deep breath), they are: Nine Black Alps, Fight Like Apes, Hilda May, Childhood, Beans on Toast, Cold Crows Dead, Brontide, Sky Larkin, Park Bench Society, Bovine, The Family Rain, Emperor Yes, Portasound, The Physics House Band, Her Name is Calla, John J. Presley, BATS, Hot Feet, Gnarwolves, The Retrospective Soundtrack Players, Empress, Black Moth, Crash of Rhinos, Landscapes, Wet Nuns, Grappler, Bear Cavalry, WOAHNOWS and Wot Gorilla?

Get all that? Good, so did we. Now all that remains is for you to head off and get tickets to this year’s 2000trees Festival. Info on that below. Don’t forget that some early entry tickets remain, which would get you access to the amazing Thursday night line-up of Future of the Left, The Xcerts, Gallops and more. We can’t emphasise enough how much we love this festival at Stereoboard so hope to see you there.

2000trees takes place at Upcote Farm near Cheltenham from the 11th to the 13th July 2013. Tickets are available now for a stupendously good-value price from www.twothousandtreesfestival.co.uk which also has all the latest information about the event.
