Bruce Springsteen and Kasabian have been officially confirmed as headliners for this year's Hard Rock Calling festival in London.
Bruce "The Boss" Springsteen will return to Hard Rock Calling for the second consecutive year. Kasabian have also been signed-up for this year's event, their only UK festival appearance of 2013. Other acts confirmed for the June weekender include Modfather Paul Weller, Miles Kane, The Black Crowes, Kodaline, The Cribs, Tribes, Alabama Shakes and Klaxons.
In a move that has surprised many, Bruce "The Boss" Springsteen has agreed to return to Hard Rock Calling after organisers pulled the plug on his 2012 headline performance due to noise restrictions. Rumours have been circulating that The Rolling Stones were originally signed up to perform at this year's Hard Rock Calling, however, after pulling out of negotiations last minute, Bruce stepped-in.
Kasabian are to perform on Saturday 29th June with support from Paul Weller, Miles Kane, Kodaline, The Cribs, Klaxons and Tribes. Bruce Springsteen is set to perform on Sunday 30th June, with The Black Crowes and Alabama Shakes supporting.
It was recently announced that Live Nation, the world renown promoters behind Hard Rock Calling, secured London's Olympic Park and Stadium for future live music events. Hard Rock Calling is one of the first major events confirmed to go ahead at the new venue.
The move to East London followed a number of complaints from local residents about the noise level of last year's Hard Rock Calling, which back then took place at the more central location of Hyde Park.
