Hero will release their debut single ‘Raise It Up’ as a free download on 29th April. The track is driven by the purest of melodies, yet purveys a sense of swagger and an edge which puts the band head and shoulders above their tune-wielding counterparts.
Hero are a melodic rock five-piece from Brighton, rising from the ashes of much-loved British acts Mimi Soya, The Auteur and The Ghost of a Thousand. They started life as a foursome consisting of Hero from Mimi Soya and Alex, Kerry and Jules from The Auteur, before rounding off the line-up with Memby Jago from The Ghost of a Thousand on drums for an added injection of punk rock vigour.
Between the band’s five members, they have toured extensively across the UK and Europe, playing with bands from The Bronx to Cobra Starship and at festivals such as Reading and Leeds, Download and T In The Park. But now united as Hero, these guys are ready to take on the world with their own unique brand of melody driven rock goodness. For further details, head over to the official Facebook page.
