"To All The Haters" - Fake Letter From Oxegen Festival Surfaces Online

Wednesday, 24 April 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

After Oxegen organisers announced the festival’s 2013 line-up last night, a lot of criticism started flying in through the likes of Facebook and Twitter damning the amount of electronic and commercial names that feature on the bill - they even reportedly removed a Facebook post as it filled up with negative comments.

Now, amidst the backlash, a hilarious letter claiming to come from Oxegen chiefs has surfaced online - addressing the ‘haters’ who’ve made it known that they’re not happy with the line-up.

Available to see on the right, it tells readers that ‘don’t like what we’re offering’ to ‘fuck off to Glastonbury’, as well as claiming that it is the fans fault they are 'being a bunch of stingey bastards’.

As much as we’d love it to be real, it’s almost certainly fake, and follows on from a Twitter account that’s been giving Oxegen bosses a lot of grief over the past day. Claiming to be the official Oxegen account (it’s username is even @OfficialOxegen), it stated that Daft Punk and Avicii had been added to the festival’s bill, amongst other things.

There’s still quite a heavy Twitter-hate sesh going on right now - check out some of the tweets below.

Despite the hate, a lot of people are still interested in the festival, which takes place in August 2nd-4th. Head to the festival's official website for further details.
