Tennessee rockers Kings Of Leon will release their new album, titled 'Mechanical Bull', on Monday 24 September.
Kings Of Leon have been out of the spotlight recently, working hard with longtime producer Angelo Petraglia in their new Nashville studio on the follow-up to their 2010 chart-topping record 'Come Around Sundown'.
The new album's title and release date were confirmed by American TV host Jimmy Fallon during his late-night chat show. The news will be a relief to Kings Of Leon fans who, after a cancelled tour and fighting between band members, were led to wonder whether Kings of Leon would ever release new material.
Further details are scarce, however, King Of Leon bassist Jared Followill revealed to NME, "I thought we were going to make a really mature album but I'm amazed how youthful it sounds. It's like a mix of Youth & Young Manhood and Because of the Times."
Kings of Leon will headline the V Festival in Staffordshire and Essex in August.
