The Rolling Stones Joined By Arcade Fire's Win Butler At Montreal Gig Last Night - Watch Now

Monday, 10 June 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

The Rolling Stones are known for inviting some of music’s most respected and well-loved musicians to join them on stage to perform with them, and on their current US tour, it’s been no different; the likes of superstar singer Katy Perry, ex-boyfriend hating country star Taylor Swift, and rock god Dave Grohl have all appeared alongside them - and last night, Arcade fire’s Win Butler became the latest!

Butler broke the news that he’d be joining Mick Jagger and co. on stage last week, tweeting via Arcade Fire’s Twitter account that he was lined-up as a special guest for their show in Montreal. He wrote:

Butler, who fronts Arcade fire alongside his wife Régine Chassagne, performed Stones track ‘The Last Time’, much to the crowd’s - and Butler’s - delight! You can check out a video of the scenes below.

Though news of Butler’s appearance was broken in advance of their show, speculation is now building as to who will join the band at both their Glastonbury Festival headline slot, and at their up and coming Hyde Park gigs in July. Some say Adele is favourite for their Hyde Park gigs, while there doesn’t seem to be a clear favourite for Glasto - who would you like to see at either gig? Leave us a comment in the box below.
