Lady Gaga will release her new single, Applause, on August 19 and has promised that it is 'full of happiness'.
Applause will serve as the first taste of Gaga's latest full-length, 'Artpop', which will land on November 11. In an interview with Women's Wear Daily, she revealed a couple of choice, if vague, details about the song:
“I’ll tell you that it is very fun. And that it’s full of happiness, because what I’m saying in the song essentially is that I live for the applause. I live for the way you cheer and scream for me. Give me that thing that I love. Put your hands up, make them touch.”
Lady Gaga will return to the stage on August 25 at the MTV Video Music Awards, having taken some time off from performing due to a serious hip injury.
