Arctic Monkeys Planning Huge Outdoor Show Next Summer?

Monday, 04 November 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Arctic Monkeys have hinted at the possibility of some massive outdoor gigs next Summer.

Alex Turner and co. are part way through their massive UK arena tour, in support of their fifth consecutive #1 album ‘AM’ and follows a successful festival period, which included a headline performance at Glastonbury Festival.

Speaking to Gigwise, the band have revealed what they may get up to next year, and performing either outside or underwater seems to be on the cards! They told the site:

“I wanna do some big shows next summer as well, you know we're not going to do Glastonbury again, but it'd be nice to do something of our own perhaps next summer. Maybe an outdoor show, maybe an underwater show.”

Meanwhile, the group have been advised to rest after Turner contracted laryngitis - causing them to postpone gigs in both Birmingham, Glasgow and hometown Sheffield. They’ve already been rescheduled and tickets will remain valid, while the rest of the tour is set to go ahead as planned. If you need Arctic Monkeys tickets, check the dates and links below.
