Record Store Day organisers have unveiled the list of releases for this year's event, which on April 22 will celebrate its 10th anniversary.
RSD bosses have enlisted five UK champions for the event - Slaves, Anton Newcombe of the Brian Jonestown Massacre, Kate Tempest, Kate Nash and Izzy Bizu - while St. Vincent was announced last month as its amabassor.
Natasha Youngs of Resident Music in Brighton said:
“Shops all over the country will be supporting the releases with an array of events (live music, raffles, quizzes, giveaways and more), offering a day that truly celebrates the record shop culture that we all live and breathe every day. The UK’s independent record shops are a fiercely diverse set of businesses but this event brings us together to celebrate our differences.”
The full list of records, which totals more than 500, can be viewed here. It includes a triple gatefold vinyl edition of Iggy Pop's 'Post Pop Depression: Live at Royal Albert Hall', three David Bowie releases, a new Kate Nash EP, a Babymetal 'Metal Resistance' picture disc, quadruple vinyl of Bruce Springsteen's 'Hammersmith Odeon, London '75', a new War On Drugs single, Thinking Of A Place, a new Animal Collective EP, limited edition 12" of Manic Street Preachers' Your Love Alone Is Not Enough, Andre 3000's Beatles cover, and Anna Calvi live at David Byrne's Meltdown Festival, among many, many others.
