Editors have shared a new track.
Hallelujah (So Low) is the second, following Magazine, to be lifted from their forthcoming LP, 'Violence', which is due out on March 9 through Play It Again Sam. Speaking about it, singer and guitarist Tom Smith said:
"I wrote the words to Hallelujah (So Low) when I got back from a trip with Oxfam, visiting refugee camps in Northern Greece. It was obviously an incredibly moving trip, seeing people living in dust, surviving only on the help of others was very moving.
Musically the track hung on the relationship between the acoustic guitar and the drum machine, that was part of the track from my demo, it had something special very early on...then when Justin came up with his outrageous guitar riff we knew we had a winner. It's the most 'rock' we've ever been and it's exhilarating. I think the video attempts to capture this intensity, both in the track and in us as a live band."
Head below to watch the track's video, which was directed by the band's long term collaborator Rahi Rezvani.
The new record will be preceded by a trio of intimate album launch shows in Birmingham, Manchester and London. Editors will also play shows across Europe and the US throughout the spring and summer, and will call at Manchester's Neighbourhood Weekender on May 27 and Hyde Park on July 7 as part of the line up for the Cure's British Summer Time show.
Editors Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows
Sun March 04 2018 - BIRMINGHAM Birmingham Town Hall
Mon March 05 2018 - MANCHESTER Manchester Cathedral
Tue March 06 2018 - LONDON Clapham Grand
