Wire Drop New Single Primed And Ready Ahead Of 'Mind Hive' Release

Wire have shared another cut from their upcoming 17th studio album.
The ominous Primed and Ready follows the previously released Cactused in previewing 'Mind Hive', which is scheduled to land on January 24 through the band's own label Pinkflag. Vocalist Colin Newman said:
"Primed and Ready was the easiest song to write on the album, written in less time than it takes to play it. There’s nothing remotely "clever" about the chord sequence/structure and there's only three chords, two in the verse and one in the chorus. As in all things Wire less is more."
The British post-punks, who are 40 years into their hugely influential career, will accompany the album's release with UK and North American tour dates. Head below for further details.
