Billie Eilish has released the video for her latest single, Everything I Wanted.
The clip, self-directed by the pop vocalist, depicts Eilish and her songwriting partner and brother Finneas driving late at night through the city, arriving at the beach and plowing straight into the ocean. The singer said:
“My brother and I wrote this song about each other and I wanted to create a visual that emphasizes that no matter what, we’ll be there for each other through everything. This is the second video I’ve directed of mine. We worked so hard, for hours and hours on end. I love it, I hope you do too.”
The pair’s deadpan countenance reflects the subdued nature of the track, but their sibling love shines through as it does with the lyrics: “As long as I’m here no one can hurt you.”
