Black Dog tenderly navigates mental health issues via the singer-songwriter’s honeyed vocals, which gracefully waltz over a gentle, jazz-flecked production. She said:
“[Black Dog] is supposed to make people who are struggling feel less isolated and start a conversation surrounding the prevalence of mental health issues in today’s world.”
The strikingly candid track follows Parks' standalone single Eugene, which arrived in February. She is currently working on her debut album, although there are no details yet.
