Run The Jewels have released ‘RTJ4’ a couple of days early as protests continue in the US following the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody.
The album, which was set to arrive on June 5, is now available from the hip hop duo’s website and streaming services. It features Pharrell Williams, Rage Against The Machine's Zack De La Rocha, Mavis Staples, Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme, 2 Chainz, Greg Nice and DJ Premier. Check it out below.
Proceeds from the pay as you want download option will be donated to the Mass Defense Program, “a network of lawyers, legal workers and law students providing legal support for political activists, protesters and movements for social change.”
“Fuck it, why wait,” El-P and Killer Mike said. “The world is infested with bullshit so here’s something raw to listen to while you deal with it all. We hope it brings you some joy. Stay safe and hopeful out there and thank you for giving 2 friends the chance to be heard and do what they love. With sincere love and gratitude, Jaime and Mike.”
