Gorillaz have shared another new song from their rolling Song Machine series.
The low key, neon-drenched Friday 13th features a guest spot from Octavian and closes with a quote from the late writer and activist James Baldwin, referencing support for Black Lives Matter as protests continue following the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody:
“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced. It is certain, in any case, that ignorance, allied with power, is the most ferocious enemy justice can have.”
Previous Song Machine entries have called on collaborators including Fatoumata Diawara, Slowthai, Slaves, Georgia and Peter Hook, while Gorillaz also recently shared a collaboration with Skepta and the late Tony Allen following the legendary drummer's death.
