Future Islands Drop First New Music In Three Years

Wednesday, 08 July 2020 Written by Spencer Lawes

Future Islands have returned with a new single.

For Sure, which features backing vocals from Jenn Wasner of Wye Oak, represents the band's first new music since 2017’s ‘The Far Field’.

The track fits Future Islands’ tried and tested formula of Samuel T. Herring's raw, emotive voice over melodic synths, and it arrives accompanied by Sam Mason’s video, which follows two driverless cars racing through a ruined, post-apocalyptic world. There's been no mention of a new album just yet, so stay tuned.
