Matt Maltese has posted a new single.
Arriving swiftly after the previously shared Queen Bee, the subdued Hi is the second track to be lifted from the London crooner’s forthcoming EP, ‘Madhouse’, which will land on August 7 via Nettwerk.
It sees Maltese sing tenderly of a blossoming love, matched by a lo-fi shuffle of soft, twinkling piano keys and sparse arrangements. He said:
“This is an ode to someone who’s there for you and has been there all along. I think it’s a song that tries to capture the moment that your love for someone reveals itself to you.”
The new EP will follow Maltese’s last full-length effort, 2019’s Krystal. He is set to support the release with a slot at Reading’s Are You Listening? Festival in October. Tickets are on sale now.
