The Boss has announced a new documentary.
Bruce Springsteen's Letter To You will serve as a companion film to the legendary singer-songwriter's upcoming 20th studio LP of the same name. It'll premiere on Apple TV+ on October 23, coinciding with the release of the album via Columbia Records.
Produced by Jon Landau and Thom Zimny, and co-produced by Barbara Carr with Springsteen as executive producer, the Apple Original Films black and white documentary chronicles the five days the 71-year-old spent in his Colts Neck, New Jersey studio making the record with the E Street Band. The follow-up to 2019's 'Western Stars' features nine new tracks and three new recordings of previously unreleased songs from the 1970s: Janey Needs a Shooter, If I Was the Priest and Song for Orphans. The sessions marked Springsteen's first performance with the E Street Band since The River Tour in 2016, and their first studio album recorded live together since 1984's 'Born In The U.S.A.'.
