Stormzy has posted a unique video for Rainfall.
The David Footman-directed clip was created entirely inside the forthcoming video game Watch Dogs: Legion, which is released on October 29. The grime superstar will also appear in the Ubisoft open-world adventure as a future version of himself.
Talking about the digitally animated performance, which was created through motion capture and voice-acting, the game's creative director, Clint Hocking said:
"We are thrilled for Stormzy to be a part of Watch Dogs: Legion. His music and what he speaks to as an artist is extremely relevant for our London setting, and for the larger themes of our game.
"It's been almost a year since we had Stormzy in the studio to film his performance. He lit up the room, and captivated us all. He's a great collaborator, and it was a career highlight for us to get to work with him."
Rainfall features additional vocals from Tiana Major9 and appears on Stormzy's 2019 album, 'Heavy is the Head'. He'll support the record with the rescheduled H.I.T.H. World Tour in 2021.
