Larry The Pink Human, the new project of Slaves guitarist Laurie Vincent and producer Jolyon Thomas, have unveiled a new track featuring Idles frontman Joe Talbot.

Wasted Days [Inbetweens] isn't a red-faced shouter at all, but instead a soft, stirring, synth-driven alt-pop track. It follows the previously released single Might Delete Later and debut song Love You, Bye. The band said:

"Wasted Days [Inbetweens] is a contemplative look at missing the beauty in the everyday. In the rush to reach our destinations how we can often lose sight of the joy in our journeys. An awakening. Doing nothing at all is something very special."

Announcing the reflective collaboration on Idles' Twitter account, Talbot described it as, "a track about not knowing the magic til the magic is behind us."

Vincent revealed the new project back in April, though it's currently unclear if the pair plan to drop a larger body of work. It finds the musician trading the searing riffs and bellowing vocal hallmarks of Slaves for bedroom pop songs. Thomas, meanwhile, is known for his work with U2, and more recently with rapper Kendrick Lamar.

Idles, meanwhile, put out their new album 'Ultra Mono' in September, which reached number one in the UK album chart. They'll embark on a run of intimate instore shows in the spring, followed by an extensive headline UK and European trek throughout the summer. Remaining tickets are on sale now.
