Faouzia has released a new song, Minefields.

The emotional duet with John Legend was co-written by the rising singer-songwriter with Sam Martin, Ali Tamposi, and J Kash, with Charlie Puth contributing his piano playing skills. She said in a statement:

"Minefields examines what we, as humans, are willing to do to reunite with a loved one – whoever it may be. It poses the question, during times of desperation or despair, what risks are we willing to take, driven by the power of love? This is especially poignant during these trying times."

"Working with John on this record was an absolute dream come true," she added. "I've looked up to him since I was a child – he's truly a generational voice and an icon. I was honoured that he wanted to join me on this and truly can't imagine the song without him."

The track follows up Faouzia's debut EP, 'Stripped', which landed in August via Atlantic and contained unplugged versions of her singles Tears of Gold and How It All Works Out. It'll be accompanied by a video, coming soon.

It's the latest in a list of collaborations including I Dare You (كنتحداك), part of a five-track collection of multi-language duets curated by Kelly Clarkson, I Fly featuring DJ duo Galantis and Battle from David Guetta's album, '7'.

Legend dropped his latest LP, 'Bigger Love', in June. He'll support it with the rescheduled North American leg of his Bigger Love Tour in summer 2021.

Puth, meanwhile, put out his last studio full-length, 'Voicenotes', in 2018.
