Fontaines D.C. have announced their third album.
The follow-up to 2020's 'A Hero's Death' is called 'Skinty Fia' and will arrive on April 22 via Partisan Records. The Dublin band worked for a third time with producer Dan Carey on the record, with its traditional Irish phrase title translating to English as "the damnation of the deer."
Alongside the news, the group have released the first single Jackie Down The Line, which offers jangle-pop guitars while sounding more rocky than their previous material. It comes with a video directed by Hugh Mulhern, which is available to watch here. Head below to view the LP's cover art and tracklist.
The five-piece have also confirmed their first North American tour since 2019 beginning in April, with tickets on general sale at 10am local time on January 14. The run will follow rescheduled dates across Europe.
They also have two rearranged Live At The Iveagh Gardens Dublin concerts in the diary for the summer, along with appearances at Lytham Festival supporting The Strokes, Glasgow's TRNSMT, and a huge show with Sam Fender at London's Finsbury Park.
As part of Brits Week, they'll play at The Dome in Tufnell Park, North London on February 4, joining a line-up that includes Damon Albarn, Joy Crookes, Anne-Marie, Becky Hill, Craig David, Bastille, Maisie Peters and Mimi Webb. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on January 14.
Fontaines D.C. will appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon today (January 12), where they'll perform another track off the new LP.
