Toro Y Moi Announces Seventh Studio Album 'Mahal', Shares Two New Songs

Toro y Moi, real name Chaz Bear, has shared details of his seventh studio album.
The follow-up to 2019's 'Outer Peace' is called 'Mahal' and will arrive on April 29 via Dead Oceans.
Mostly recorded at Bear's Oakland studio in 2021, the record features collaborations with Unknown Mortal Orchestra‘s Ruban Neilson, Neon Indian's Alan Palomo, Sofie Royer and The Mattson 2 among its 13 songs.
Alongside the announcement, Bear has unveiled two singles, the funk-inspired Postman, and Magazine, which sees Salami Rose Joe Louis contributing breathy vocals set against an airy yet bassy groove.
The former comes with a video directed by Kid. Studio, while the latter's clip is helmed by Arlington Lowell.
