Bright Eyes have announced plans to reissue all nine of their studio albums.
The band, comprising Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nate Walcot, will re-release their entire back catalogue via Dead Oceans with a companion EP of new recordings accompanying each drop.
Each EP will include five re-recorded tracks from its partner LP, along with a cover version of a song from an artist the band drew inspiration from at the time.
The series will begin on May 27 with their first three records; 'A Collection Of Songs Written And Recorded 1995-1997', 1998's 'Letting Off The Happiness', and 2000's 'Fevers And Mirrors'. Head below to check out the tracklists. Oberst commented:
"It's a meaningful way to connect with the past that doesn’t feel totally nostalgic and self-indulgent. We are taking these songs and making them interesting to us all over again. I like that. I like a challenge. I like to be forced to do something that’s slightly hard, just to see if we can."
From the companion EPs, they've unveiled new versions of Falling Out Of Love At This Volume, Contrast And Compare with Waxahatchee, and Haligh, Haligh, A Lie, Haligh featuring Phoebe Bridgers. Press play below, alongside a trailer for the campaign.
Bright Eyes are scheduled to tour the US this spring, followed by rearranged UK and European dates in August and September.
