Little Simz, Pixies, Bloc Party Among Acts Confirmed For BBC Radio 6 Music Festival In Cardiff

This year’s BBC 6 Music Festival will take over Cardiff in the spring.

It will host a stacked line-up across some of the Welsh capital's most popular venues, including Y Plas and The Great Hall at Cardiff University, Clwb Ifor Bach, St David's Hall and Tramshed, between April 1 to 3. 

Creative Wales has joined forces with local venues and musicians to present the 6 Music Festival Fringe between March 28 and April 3. Head here for further details.

The acts announced for the main festival include Idles, Bloc Party, Father John Misty, Cat Power, Gruff Rhys, Orlando Weeks, Gwenno, Johnny Marr, Lucy Dacus, Pixies, Little Simz, Self Esteem, Mykki Blanco, Curtis Harding, Deyah, Ibeyi, Porij, Obongjayar, Sports Team, Beabadoobee, Khruangbin, Ezra Collective, Ibibio Sound Machine, Orlando Weeks, Gwenno, Wet Leg, Audiobooks, Big Joanie, The Bug Club, Carwyn Ellis and Rio 18, Emma-Jean Thackray, Don Letts (DJ set), The Mysterines, Georgia Ruth, H. Hawkline, Green Gartside and more that you can check out on the poster below.

As well as performances, the festival will also see Khruangbin in conversation with Gilles Peterson and EllkA in conversation with Jamz Supernova.

Details were revealed on air by Huw Stephens this morning. Tickets go on sale at 10am on February 17.
