Jewel will return with her first album in seven years later this spring.

'Freewheelin’ Woman', the follow-up to 2015's 'Picking Up the Pieces', will arrive on April 15 via her own label, Words Matter Music. It boasts production from Butch Walker.

The first single to be shared from the record is Dancing Slow featuring Train, a track that brings together country, rock and pop for an understated yet dynamic soundscape to support Jewel's recognisable voice, which is complemented by Pat Monahan's empassioned vocals. The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter said:

"'Dancing Slow' is ultimately about the ebb and flow of life, and cherishing those moments of certainty that are shared when you’re with a trusted companion. It feels like time slows down for a moment. I'm so glad Train was able to join me on this track, with Pat Monahan's sweet vocals adding another layer to the melody."

Jewel will support Train and Blues Traveler on their North American tour this summer. Head here for dates and ticket details.
