Floating Points Shares New Song Vocoder

Wednesday, 09 March 2022 Written by Jon Stickler

Floating Points has dropped a new track.

Vocoder marks the producer's first new music since the release of 2021's collaborative project 'Promises' with Pharoah Sanders and the London Symphony Orchestra.

Clocking in at eight minutes, the song finds Shepherd returning to a more electronic dance-orientated sound, instead of the jazz-influenced material on his previous record.

He has a series of festival dates scheduled across Australia, Europe and the UK, including appearances at London's Field Day and Bristol's Forwards Festival. He also has sets at Coachella.
