Fast-paced and delivering a chaotic, psychedelic aesthetic, with flourishes of flute and various sound effects, Troglodyte marks the latest preview of the Swedish post-punks' upcoming third album, 'Cave World', out on July 8.
It'll appear on the follow-up to 2021's 'Welfare Jazz' alongside the previously shared cut Ain't No Thief. Speaking of the new song, frontman Sebastian Murphy said:
"People look down at apes as primitive life forms, but we’re just this horrible, lazy society killing each other and starting wars, while they’re able to love and feel. Does that make them the true ape or us?"
The band will continue their ongoing UK and Ireland tour at London's O2 Forum Kentish Town tonight (May 11). They also have European and North American dates scheduled throughout the remainder of 2022, including a run with UK band Shame, along with further UK and Scandinavian shows in early 2023. Tickets are on sale.
