CVC, aka Church Village Collective, have announced their debut EP.
Hailing from the rural community of Church Village in the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taff, Wales, the up-and-coming band will release the four-song 'Real To Reel' on September 16 through CVC Recordings via Secretly Distribution .
The record will feature the newly shared track Winston, which unfurls around a serene melody and lush string arrangements. It follows the previously unveiled cut Docking The Pay, with the EP completed by Lonely People and Pyongyang. The band commented:
"Winston is about catching the bus from our hometown of Church Village to Cardiff, every day - and having to listen to the same old music on the radio stations, over and over and over again!"
They added: "We can’t wait to have our music on vinyl for the first time - this EP is so HARD, they’re going to have to invent a new spin speed on record players to handle it!"
Having appeared at Brighton's Great Escape earlier in May, they play a headline gig at Swansea's Sin City on May 27. They also have festival slots lined up at Wide Awake, TRNSMT, Truck, Y Not?, Reading andLeeds, Electric Picnic, and more.
'Real To Reel' tracklist:
1. Docking The Pay
2. Lonely People
3. Winston
4. Pyongyang
