Neil Young and Crazy Horse will release 'Toast' this summer.
The album was recorded back in 2000 in San Francisco, but was shelved instead of following up 1996's 'Broken Arrow'. It will arrive on July 8 and feature three previously unreleased tracks.
In a 2021 feature in his online daily newspaper The Times Contrarian, Young said:
“The music of Toast is about a relationship. There is a time in many relationships that go bad, a time long before the breakup, where it dawns on one of the people, maybe both, that it's over. This was that time.”
As a preview, head below to listen to cut Standing in the Light of Love, which harks back to '70s and '80s rock, despite being created in the noughties.
Neil Young and Crazy Horse's latest LP is 2021's 'Barn'.
