Thunder is an emotionally candid track written by the American rock band's guitarist Brooks Betts. It's an outtake from the sessions for their 2021 studio album 'What It Means To Fall Apart'. Betts said:
“‘Thunder’ is a song I wrote about being in a long-term relationship, feeling like at times the fire is gone but that it’s still worth holding onto. Don’t give up! All relationships are tough but the good ones are worth it.”
The song arrives ahead of the quintet hitting the road for the US touring festival Sad Summer. They will also appear at all three days of the When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas this fall.
