Lande Hekt has announced her second solo album, 'House Without A View'.
The follow-up to 2021's 'Going To Hell' will arrive on September 23 via the Muncie Girls bassist and singer's own Prize Sunflower Records label in the UK, with Get Better Records handling the release in North America.
The news comes accompanied by the record's first single, Gay Space Cadets, which deals in driving, jangly, guitar-led indie-rock. Hekt commented:
"It's a daydreaming song about wanting a life of excitement and adventure rather than a dull and ordinary life - one where people underestimate you and belittle you. And where you’re forced to buy into capitalism and become a pathetic, losing player in a game that you hate. I’d rather escape and live in a queer space fantasy and be brave."
Head below to video the song's video, directed by Martin "gingerdope" Bannister. Lande will support Laura Jane Grace on tour in Canada this September, and has her own autumn UK shows scheduled as well. Head here for details.
