Sophie Ellis-Bextor has dropped a video for Hypnotized.
The collaboration with Glaswegian producer, composer and performer Wuh Oh arrived earlier in July, while the clip was directed by long-time collaborator Sophie Muller and comes ahead of the singer's appearances at Camp Bestival and Kendal Calling.
Filmed at Glasgow Barrowlands, the video captures her performing a choreographed routine with dancers accompanied by Wuh Oh DJ'ing. Ellis-Bextor said:
"As soon as Sophie Muller heard the song she had a vision of me line dancing in Glasgow Barrowland with 100 dancers while Pete DJ’d on the stage. The video has brought that vision to life. I love it all. The dance routine, the venue, the crying and the latex. It really brings out the wonky pop of the melody and the lyric, and just like all the best videos, it brings new dimension to the song."
Wuh Oh added: "Filming the Hypnotized video in the iconic Barrowlands was a huge honour for me as a Glasgow local. Not only was it lovely to be reunited with Sophie there, but I also got to invite a bunch of pals to come and join in the big crowd dance scene! I got goosebumps watching a hundred people all doing Sophie’s choreo in unison. I feel like this video completes the song in a way. I’m so proud of it."
