Beyoncé has surprise released a remix EP.
'Break My Soul' comprises four revamps by Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am, Chicago DJ Terry Hunter, Honey Dijon, and New York producer and DJ Nita Aviance of Bey's 'Renaissance' single.
Each version delivers a unique vibe, with will.i.am stripping back the song to its beat allowing Beyoncé's vocals to shine, while Hunter puts a house music spin on things. Dijon adds some tribal drumming to her six-and-a-half minute version, with Aviance's adding a hypnotic, trance element to her 10-minute take.
Beyoncé dropped 'Renaissance', the follow-up to 2016's 'Lemonade', at the end of July, and according to the Texas superstar it's 'Act I' of a "three act project."
Beyoncé recently made some changes to the record after the 40-year-old faced criticism for certain aspects. She has revealed that an ableist slur from the song Heated will be removed, along with the interpolation of Kelis' Milkshake after she was accused of using it without permission or credit.
