Peter Kay has announced his first live tour in 12 years.
The Bolton legend will kick off the new arena trek with two shows at Manchester's AO Arena on December 2 and 3, with his current list of dates stretching all the way to August 11, 2023, when he'll play the second of two gigs at Sheffield's Utilita Arena.
Other stops include Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds, Belfast, Newcastle, Dublin, Glasgow, Cardiff and Nottingham. Tickets for all shows on general sale at 10am on November 12. He said:
"It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, stand-up comedy and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now. And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35. The same price they were on my previous tour in 2010."
The comedian and actor's 2010 outing is officially recorded in the Guinness Book Of World Records as the biggest-selling comedy tour of all time, after he performed to a staggering 1.2million people.
In 2017, he was forced to cancel his 14-month trek due to "unforeseen family circumstances", and in 2020 he pulled a run of dates in aid of Cancer Research UK due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
