Rage Against The Machine's Tim Commerford has formed a new band called 7D7D.
Led by the bassist, and now vocalist, with drummer Mathias Wakrat and guitarist Jonny Polonsky, the trio have unveiled the project alongside the release of their debut single.
Tackling similar sociopolitical issues as Rage Against The Machine, but with a more alt-rock approach, Capitalism's frenzied energy comes from jazzy rhythms and strummed guitar work across changing time signatures.
Commerford and Wakrat previously worked together in the group Wakrat, who released one self-titled album in 2016. Los Angeles rocker Polonsky, meanwhile, linked up with Commerford during the latter's time in Audioslave.
Back in October, Rage Against The Machine cancelled their 2023 North American tour dates due to frontman Zack de la Rocha's leg injury he suffered back in the summer. Earlier in 2022, they pulled their UK and European tour for the same reason.
