The 2023 edition of the BBC 6 Music Festival will take over Manchester this spring.
The event will take place in Manchester between March 24 and 26, returning to the O2 Victoria Warehouse where it first launched back in 2014. Manchester has also been confirmed as the new permanent home of the festival.
Headline acts announced include Arlo Parks, Loyle Carner and Christine And The Queens, who will take over the O2 Victoria Warehouse on March 24, 25 and 26, respectively, joined by special guests Wu-Lu, Lava La Rue and The Big Moon.
Afflecks Palace will top the bill at Band On The Wall on March 23, with the festival hosting club nights themed around 6 Music's Indie Forever and Rave Forever shows. There will also be DJ sets across the weekend from Afrodeutsche, Erol Alkan, Hot Chip, Jamz Supernova, Steve Lamacq, Daniel Avery, Yard Act, Tarzsa, The Charlatans’ Tim Burgess, Good Future and BBC Introducing DJs Phoebe I-H and Emily Pilbeam. Additionally, a Morning After Mix will be live broadcast on the Sunday at Ramona. Check out the poster below to see who will be performing where.
"Mad, said Loyle Carner. "Six years since we last played 6 Music Festival. Feels good to be back. The shows evolved a lot since back then, I’m lucky to share the stage with some of my musical heroes. We’ve got a few extra voices coming through to lift us up too. See you soon."
Arlo Parks commented: "This is the first time I’ll be introducing my new album in a live setting and I’m so excited. To be surrounded by such innovative, singular artists is a real joy and I genuinely can’t wait for this."
Highlights from the festival will be broadcast on BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio Manchester, as well as on BBC Sounds, and streaming platforms BBC iPlayer and BBC Music's YouTube channel.
Tickets go on general sale at 8am on February 16.
