Fontaines D.C. frontman Grian Chatten has shared his debut solo single.
Co-produced by the Dublin band's longtime collaborator Dan Carey alongside Chatten, The Score arrives through Partisan Records with a video directed by Georgie Jesson.
In a change from Chatten's half-sung, half-spoken vocal delivery with Fontaines D.C., the stripped-down, harmony-laden track features gently plucked acoustic guitar and hushed percussion. He said:
"The Score is a heavyweight bated breath of lust. I wrote it in Madrid between an electric fan and a dying plant and I intend to keep it there. It was inspired by sugar and sunset."
Fontaines D.C. released their third album, 'Skinty Fia', in 2022, with news of a follow-up yet to be revealed. They'll support Arctic Monkeys on their North America this summer.
