Pale Blue Eyes have announced their second album.

The follow-up to 2022's 'Souvenirs' is called 'This House' and will arrive on September 1. It's themed around the childhood home of the Devon three-piece's vocalist and guitarist, Matt Board, and explores the stages of closure and moving on following parental loss. Board said:

"When Mum died, five years after Dad, there was this charge hanging in the air, connecting each person in the room. Time stopped. I felt like I momentarily entered an alternative dimension between life and death. Days and weeks later I’d see my family in every corner of the house – all the reminders, ghosts and memories. Then, gradually, it felt like time for a new start, moving on from the house and my amazing parents."

To accompany the news, the trio have shared the single Takes Me Over, which sees the band fusing indie-pop with elements of Krautrock. Board added: "This taps into the feeling you get when life overwhelms you and you become consumed with what’s in front of you – and then seeing a bigger picture. It’s also about embracing, processing and letting go through music making and any artistic or creative process."

Pale Blue Eyes will play UK festivals this summer, followed by a run of headline and in-store dates to accompany the record's release.
