Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Ice Cube And More To Join Run-D.M.C. At Hip Hop 50 Live At Yankee Stadium

A massive celebration of hip hop's 50th birthday will take place this summer.
A star-studded line-up will commemorate the milestone on August 11—the eve of the genre's 50th anniversary—at a huge all-day event at Yankee Stadium, in the borough where the music was founded, The Bronx, New York.
Run-D.M.C. will top the bill, while Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, and Ice Cube are also confirmed as headliners. Other acts lined up for the event include Fat Joe, Common, A$AP Ferg, EPMD, Ghostface Killah, Lupe Fiasco, and Slick Rick.
The event, billed Hip Hop 50 Live At Yankee Stadium, will also include a Queens Of Hip Hop segment featuring performances from Eve, Lil Kim, Remy Ma, and Trina, and a Pillars Of Hip Hop section featuring DJ Kool Herc and his sister Cindy Campbell, Grandmaster Caz, Kurtis Blow, Melle Mel, Roxanne Shante, Scorpio, and the Sugar Hill Gang. There will also be a Legendary DJ set with Clark Kent, Marley Marl, Mannie Fresh, and Battlecat.
Further acts are to be announced in due course. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (June 9).
