Jeff Rosenstock has announced his fifth studio album.
The singer-songwriter will release 'Hellmode' on September 1 via Specialist Subject in the UK and Europe, and Polyvinyl in North America.
It'll include the previously shared Liked U Better, along with the newly unveiled melodic punk track Doubt, which builds from a sombre introduction to an explosive shout-along finale. It comes with an anime-style video, created by the team behind the Cartoon Network series Rosenstock soundtracks, Craig Of The Creek. He shared in a statement:
"I wanted to make an anime-inspired video that captures the feeling of dread you feel when you know you're gonna have to deal with some bad shit, and then that bad shit ends up way worse than you had even imagined."
Commenting on the LP, he added: "To me, the album feels like the chaos of being alive right now. We’re experiencing all these things at the same time that trigger our senses, and emotions that make us feel terrible. We’re just feeling way too much all at once!"
Rosenstock will accompany the release of 'Hellmode' with a two-leg North American tour, kicking off on September 6 in Washington, D.C., and culminating on December 17 in San Diego. Tickets are on sale.
