The Kills have returned with their first new music in over five years.
Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince have shared two singles, New York and LA Hex, which come paired with videos directed by Andrew Theodore Balasia, and artwork drawn by Mosshart.
The former is a dark, dramatic track that couples blaring synths and flourishes of horns over off-kilter percussion. The latter, meanwhile, is a slower, more ominous sounding song. Both are available on 7" vinyl.
In celebration of the new material, the duo will host release events in New York City and Los Angeles on July 27 and August 3, respectively. Head here for details.
The Kills released their fifth studio album, 'Ash & Ice', in 2016. They also dropped a career-spanning b-sides and rarities collection, 'Little Bastards', in December 2020.
